STEAM keeps cutting out. This is affecting STEAM Friends and server connection as well as STEAM Cloud.
There has been no planned maintenance announcement in the STEAM Forums
The BRINK servers disconnect every time there is a 30 sec loss of STEAM and then require a manual restart. I'm leaving them down until STEAM stabilizes.
At least its not the weekend ;)
Might as well do some maintenance . All servers down for the next while.

Brink DLC Details and Stats Site Update
Written by badman on 27 May, 2011 - 17:49 | Tagged
Today we've got some exciting news to share about two big Brink updates in the works.
First up, the statistics site will be going live next Tuesday for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players. PC players can look forward to it going very soon. This site, located at brinkthegame.com, will be your hub for in-depth stats, including data on matches, players and the overall progress in the weekly Battle for the Ark. Check out the screenshot above for a sneak peek and dig up that VIP code as you’ll need it to register once the stats page is live.
On top of that, the Agents of Change DLC is just on the horizon, slated for release in June. The pack will bring new maps, abilities, character customization options and weapon attachments to Brink, while also raising the level cap to 24.

BRINK has been out for 6 days in North America and there is lots of overly critical and negative media out there.
Saw this video review for the PC by TotalBiscuit.
The first half is about the game options , the second on actual gameplay. You can click on a prompt to go straight to gameplay section.
Its a realistic review and worth a look.

There is a new FPS coop shooter in town, BRINK
It runs from SteamApps and so I thought SunLit could try out a server.
SunLit On the Brink 69.90.119.180:27015 FF
SunLit Resistance 69.90.119.180:27017
The game unlocks to the public at midnight tonight. There is some useful startup information in our SunLit BRINK forums
Like Alien Swarm the game "steals" the main server ip , so for the next while Futurama ip will be 69.90.119.183:27015

Valve Brings More Steam to GDC
Press Release - Valve
Briefing Development Partners on New Features for 2011
Source
February 28, 2011 - Valve, creator of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead, and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today disclosed its plans for a new "big picture" mode of Steam which will offer controller support and navigation designed for television interaction. Big picture mode will enable gamers to enjoy Steam and their library of Steam games on more screens throughout the house.
"Our partners and customers have asked us to make Steam available in more places. With the introduction of Steam on the Mac, and soon in Portal 2 on the PS3â„¢, we've done just that," said Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing for Valve. "With big picture mode, gaming opportunities for Steam partners and customers become possible via PCs and Macs on any TV or computer display in the house."
