  DoD Map Pack #15
Posted By Pvt_John -
Hard to believe it, but we're already up to Map Pack #15 for DoD 1.x.

You can download the map pack from the link above (you must be registered and logged in).

It's a big download -- 167 MB -- thought we'd push our server to the wall on this and see what happens :) As always, install to the following folder:
C:>Program Files>Steam>SteamApps>{your e-mail}>day of defeat>dod

There are some updates of maps we've played before, including a fixed version of dod_trenchfield2, which is one of my favorites. It had some missing textures before, but looks great now. The final versions of dod_fury and dod_saisie are in there, too, along with a new version of dod_cr44 called dod_cr44v2. Please note that dod_cr44night is included with the download for dod_cr44v2.

Also, dod_normandy is back for the first time since the good old days of DoD Beta 3.1. It's flag-based this time, instead of objective-based. Col. Krust mentioned a while ago that he wanted to see dod_festung_v4 again, so this map has been added, too.

Those of you who have played Call of Duty will find dod_harbor_b3 to be very familiar. It is essentially a remake of the standard CoD map Harbor, but in the DoD engine. It is very nice and polished looking.

There are also a few "just for fun" types of maps included. Some crazy person converted some custom HLDM maps to work with DoD in a Team Deathmatch sort of thing. I've included a few of the better ones here -- scorched, plateau, and chaocity1. And of course, by popular demand, we now have dod_walmart.

The new maps are running in a new mapcycle for Futurama.

Some pictures of the maps are below. You can also see all the pictures, with their map names, and download individual maps or the map pack itself on the DoD Map Pack #15 page. Enjoy!
