SunLit now has a BattleField: 1942 [2] set up and running. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, it is a WWII first person shooter. The most significant difference between this game and DoD is it has vehicles. You can drive tanks and jeeps, fly planes, etc.

If you have the retail game and have not played it recently, you'll want to get the BF1942 1.6 patch [3] and the BF1942 1.61 patch [4] (links are to Fileshack).

We want to see how this runs, and make sure it doesn't lag the other servers (we had problems with Call of Duty in that regard) for a bit. If successful, we will solicit everyone's opinions on whether we should keep it as a BF 1942 (WWII) server or switch to the Desert Combat (modern weapons/middle east) mod.
