Strand is the final and faithful remake of dod_charlie, taking full advantage of the Source and detonation codes.
This version sets a new standard for optimization on a beach map.The scoring system has been addressed so that both sides are appropriately rewarded for a successful defense or offense.
The gameplay is balanced as long as there is focussed team work.
The allies have 7 minutes to destroy four objectives with the detonation packs. The radio tower and big gun require one det pack each. The flak guns require two detonation packs each.
Strand was released in the first Community Assembled Map Pack - CAMP1
FPS are solid on a 24 man server even with the explosions on the beach.
