Dod_pacific_b1 shows great potential, but falls short in a couple of areas.
There are five flags. The allies spawn on a beach on one side of a small island, and the axis spawn on the other side near a U-Boat.
Most of the map is absolutely beautiful. The tropical vegetation is very well done -- the map almost looks like something out of Far Cry, rather than DODS.
The two flaws, in my opinion, are the lack of a proper sky box and low frame rates.
The map is definitely worth checking out, however. For one thing, you can shoot the coconuts on the beach. That's worth it alone :)
It can be classed as a "fun" map.
The map may be suitable for match play. |
