What are custom maps ?

Half-Life installs with 14 stock or standard maps. Custom maps are made by fans of the game and offer more variety. SunLit's has 400+ custom maps in its HLDM Giant Map Pack ( 485 MB). Having the maps already on your hard drive lets you dive right into the game. Loading them in-game is slower, limits your fragging time, lags the game and annoys the heck out of the other players.
